My name is Dr. Ajitpaul Mangat.
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Niagara University, where I am also a member of the Rose Bente Lee Ostapenko Center for Ethics in Medicine and Healthcare. I received my Ph.D. in English from the University at Buffalo SUNY. My research and teaching focus on the representation of disability and race (and their intersection) in contemporary American literature and popular music. I am particularly interested in how popular aesthetic forms enact emergent social relations of solidarity. I serve as a contributing writer for Synapsis - a digital health humanities journal at the intersection of medicine, culture, and criticism |
